5 Tips How To Get More Facebook Likes And Why They Matter More Than You Think

As you may already know, getting Likes on Facebook is extremely important. Nowadays, not only is it great for Facebook, but for ranking on Search Engines, like Google, as well. On top of this, you also get the social proof that goes with having a page that people like. So, the question is, how do we get these Likes to begin with? Of course, you can try to manipulate the system and buy likes off sites like Fiverr… but Google, Facebook, and all the other major social networks are becoming more and more keen to this. So, how do we build our Likes up naturally, just from having people GENUINELY like our content? This article will talk about that in detail.

Tip #1: Reverse Engineer Successes…

One way to naturally increase the amount of Likes you have on your Facebook page, is to look at what topics are ALREADY getting a lot of Likes (preferably within your niche) and then write about those. You don’t just have to do this with Facebook Likes either, you can do it with all sorts of social sites, such as Google +1’s, Diggs, etc. Just look at what’s trending now, what’s hot, and what topics have been proven to get a lot of popularity on any given site, and then just start writing about those. In other words, “give the people what they want”. The math here is real simple… if you give people what they want, they’ll like your page, if not, they won’t. All you have to do is figure out what it is that they want, and that part’s easy.

Tip #2: Use Facebook Ads…

Nowadays, you can actually use Facebook Ads to attract new Likes. This can sometimes be costly, so obviously, you need to have a monthly ad budget in order to do this, but it’s very often worth it. If you have eye-catchy copy, or better yet, an entertaining and/or informative video you can show people in these little ads, then even better. While clicks can be expensive, showing these ads to 1,000’s upon 1,000’s of people is still relatively inexpensive, and can allow you to wrack up some serious Likes. If you can, try getting yourself a lower CPC, that way people are seeing your ad cheaper, and you’re still getting the benefit of the Likes.

Tip #3: Embed Your Like Box…

If you have a site, especially a blog, you should be embedding a Like box on it, and giving people the opportunity to quickly and easily Like you right from whatever page they’re on. You should be putting these on literally EVERY page. On top of this, if you’re running a blog… ask for the sale! That is to say, at the end of each blog post, simply ask people to Like your page (if they liked what they read)… If you’re offering genuinely good content on your blog, and asking people to Like you, (if they liked the content) then you’ll have more Likes than you know what to do with.

Tip #4: Offer An Incentive…

One very important thing you can do, is offer people an incentive for Liking your page. For example, if you run an online store, why not offer people a discount for Liking your page? If you offer some sort of contest, you’ll get a TON of free Likes, especially if it’s a really nice prize. It doesn’t have to be expensive, like a free Jetski, there are plenty of things of value you can offer which cost nothing. For example, if you have any authority in your niche, you could offer the winner a free consultation with you on any subject… or you could offer to just to talk to them and meet them online or on the phone for a private chat… anything like this is bound to get you a whole bunch of Likes.

Tip #5: Just Like With Paid Traffic…

Just like with paid traffic, you should analyze absolutely everything, and then use that data to figure out what’s working, and what’s not. Is there a certain time that gets you more Likes than other times? If you cover many different topics, which topic is getting you the most Likes? Are videos working better for you than regular text posts? I don’t know, but using Insights, you can figure out all this stuff out with ease, and take advantage of it… so don’t hesitate to do this. If you don’t know what’s working, and what isn’t, you can’t succeed with a paid marketing campaign, and Facebook is no different in that regard.
