In our last article, we focused on many of the different basic tools available from YellowPipe, as well as one of the SEO tools, the Meta Tag Generator. In this article, we’ll be focusing on more of the webmaster tools available from YellowPipe, particularly the tools designed for SEO. There are many amazing tools to help you optimize your site here, and I believe that most webmasters would have use for just about all of them. Let’s dig in…

Tool #6: Keyword Frequency Counter…

So, the next tool we’ll look at, is the Keyword Frequency Counter, and this is a surprisingly important tool. Lately, Google has been watching more and more closely for “keyword stuffers” and the reality is, even if you didn’t intend to, you might have one of your keywords there on your site just a few too many times for Google’s taste. It’s not a problem however, because with this tool, you’ll be able to quickly and easily check all the repeated words on your site, and their frequency, in order to make sure you aren’t accidently keyword stuffing, OR, to the contrary, that you at least have the primary keywords which you’re trying to target at least a couple of times. It will show you a very neat list of all your repeated words, in order of the most repeated to least, so it’s very neatly organized.

Tool #7: PageRank Checker…

This is obviously a very important tool to have in your arsenal when you’re going to purchase either a new website, OR, just a new domain name on which to build a site. The PageRank (PR) is the general assessment of how well optimized a website is, and gives you a general idea of how well it will do on the Google search engine. It doesn’t really apply to Yahoo and Bing, because it was designed and used by Google to rank their websites. Contrary to popular belief, it’s NOT actually called “Page” Rank because it gives you the score of a certain web page, but actually, because it was named after Google’s co-founder, Larry Page. Overall, this is a necessary tool to see how a domain name’s doing overall, without looking at detailed analytics of its search rankings. and backlinks.

Tool #8: Robots.txt Generator…

This neat little tool will tell the search engine spiders what they should be and shouldn’t be crawling. There are certain things within your site’s directory which you simply don’t want to have crawled, and this will quickly and easily prevent them from doing just that. As a huge added bonus, there are certain bots that will crawl someone’s website in order to garner e-mail addresses listed on the site, so that they can be spammed. This will entirely prevent that and make sure that the e-mails listed on your website are kept safe, and secure. Highly recommend this for every Webmaster.

Tool #9: SEO Tool Suite…

This right here, in and of itself, is an entire SUITE of tools to help you rank your website higher in the search engines. One of the main things it allows you to do, is to generate a detailed report which compares and contrasts two separate websites, while also looking over several different SEO-related factors as well. You can also compare all the major keywords for a domain, and on top of that, look at the number of websites which are linking back. You can also check the Alexa rankings, as well as how long a website’s been online for, etc. So overall, this is a very exhaustive tool, and also highly recommended.

Tool #10: Google Adsense Previewer…

If there are any other tools like this on the internet, I honestly haven’t seen them, because as far as I know, this tool is really one of a kind. What it does is it shows you what Google Adsense will look like on your website, and give you an idea of some of the ads that might be displayed (based on your keywords). While you won’t use this tool too often, it’s a nice little thing to have if you’re not sure whether you want to start displaying Adsense ads on your site or not. You can see what it will look like on any given page, without having to go through the trouble of actually installing it. Very handy.
